About Ms. Aahana

Aahana is a counselling psychologist whose work is grounded in person-centred, process-oriented, and social justice-informed psychotherapy. She believes that every individual possesses an inherent capacity for healing and growth, and that therapy is most meaningful when it creates the safety, curiosity, and space needed for that wisdom to emerge.

She holds a Master's in Psychology, specializing in Clinical and Counselling Practice, from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Psychology. Her experience spans clinical practice, research, and community mental health, allowing her to integrate evidence-based interventions with a thoughtful understanding of the social, cultural, and relational contexts that shape emotional wellbeing.

Aahana works with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, relationship challenges, caregiving stress, emotional overwhelm, career concerns, identity exploration, and life transitions. She also has a special interest in working with neurodivergent adults, offering affirming support that recognizes differences rather than deficits.

Her therapeutic approach is non-pathologising, trauma-informed, and deeply collaborative. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, she helps clients understand recurring emotional patterns, relational experiences, and internal narratives, enabling meaningful and lasting change. Her work encourages individuals to reconnect with themselves, strengthen emotional resilience, and build relationships that feel authentic and fulfilling.

Clients often describe Aahana as warm, grounded, reflective, and deeply present—someone who creates a space where difficult emotions can be explored with patience, compassion, and curiosity.

Therapy Philosophy

"Therapy with me is a space to pause, reflect, and gently understand yourself without the pressure to have everything figured out. I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to be honest with ourselves and when our experiences are met with curiosity rather than judgment.

Together, we'll explore your emotions, relationships, and patterns at a pace that feels right for you. Whether you're navigating uncertainty, emotional overwhelm, identity, or relationships, my role is not to rush the process but to walk alongside you as you build greater clarity, self-compassion, and confidence in the life you want to create."
